When Laura Vitale’s father died in 2006, she turned to painting to help herself embrace the painful realities of the grieving process. This book of colorful expressive paintings chronicles her journey through the often overwhelming floods of emotion that come with the loss of a loved one.
In her painting process, “no feeling is outlawed, judged or disregarded,” writes Vitale. “The task is simply to show up in the present moment with whatever I feel, and to allow the process to take me wherever I need to go.”
In this book, the paintings tell their own story, and hopefully inspire others to take up a brush and do the same.
